Our Team
Michael Begin, CFP®
In Michael's early years, he and his brother owned a development company building homes and condominiums throughout northern and eastern Connecticut. In 1980, when Connecticut experienced its housing bust, Michael took what he learned as a small business owner and entered the financial services industry to help small businesses reduce their insurance cost. From that time, Michael became securities licensed and obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation. But something was missing. Michael did not experience what he had in the building business: the customer's sense of pride and appreciation for the home that they built. To fill this void, Michael looked for a better way to help families and businesses accomplish the outcomes that they desired. Michael trained with the Heritage Institute, which focused on putting the family first and separating the family business from the business of the family. It was there that Michael met John Daley and found that they had the same desire to create a better way. It is this journey that brought John and Michael to where they are today, guiding families and businesses through the creation of Array Partners and the Family Office Division.
In his free time, Michael is a devoted grandfather and an avid sailor. He loves traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with family and friends.
John Daley, CLU®
After attending the University of New Hampshire, John entered the financial services industry in 1981. He received much of his technical training at the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, and has mentored under some of the most recognized experts in the wealth management industry. In 1994, John was named to the prestigious “Who’s Who in Financial Services.”
Recognizing the need to “build a better deliverable”, John partnered with his longtime friend and confidant, Michael Begin, to design a team-based model that would allow business and financial advice to be delivered to clients via a holistic process rather than having advice segmented by professional designation. The result of many years of many years of research and trial and error is Array Partners, a team based virtual family office.
John and his wife, Beverly, raised their children on the coast of Maine. As “empty nesters,” they relocated to Sarasota in 2008 to be near her aging parents. Beverly fell in love with the beaches and arts, while John took advantage of the wonderful weather and found a new passion: participating in triathlons. He has raced all distances and completed his first 140.6-mile race in 2014.
